The Bachelorette: Why even Bother?

Although I agree with your earlier post, I have to say I am mildly disappointed that they chose Ali to be the next Bachelorette. Frankly, I think she sucks. Do you realize she is giving up a job at Facebook for all this garbage? Honestly? Plus, I find her entire persona perfectly insufferable. Remember DeAnna?

I don't even like Bachelorette much at the very best of times. Watching men compete over some lame girl just gets so old so fast. Yet a bunch of silly girls fighting over a hapless twit will hold my undivided attention for hours...Why is that?

Either way, I'm sure I'll at least tune in for the first episode... The initial judging of everyone as they come out of the limo is always my fave part.

Strange Find..

Mostly just posting this because I think it's cool that somewhere out there exists a poster with my last name on it, and it has to do with guitars of all things.

Did you know that it's hard to find these Italian guitars today. They are worth quite a bit, even though they only really made knockoffs of American brands.

Wiki article is in Italian, so hard for me to understand fully.

WHAT IS HE DOING?

I will never lose faith in the Bachelor as long as it continues to produce gold like this. Unreal.

This is what's good about reality television. You just can't write this stuff.

Only in America

Johnny Weir......

I would argue that while figure skating is easily the most flamboyant of the men's sport, there has always been this almost self conscious urge to suppress/deny this fact as much as is realistically possible.

This guy skips the charade in a big way and I LOVE it. I think he is what the sport needs. Like a true American, he has a serious personality on and off the ice and he really doesn't care whose feathers he ruffles. I think there is a certain honesty in that.

If he's a little much for the Americans, the Koreans seem to love him anyway. This clip is definitely worth watching...

Another funny tidbit - he loves everything Russian and insists his coaches speak to him in Russian all the time.

They Miss you!!!

So my mum came with me today to visit the pups - I was shocked she wanted to see them! She even told me that under no circumstances was I to let her bring one home! What? Is that Judy Maddren the pet hater?

Anyways, they are so big I can hardly believe it. So much tail wagging! So much chewing and playing! It was all I could do not to shove a couple in my bag...

I Finally Did It...

I finally did what I should have done years ago and downloaded Skype. Granted, my former computer was not able to handle a mic, so it wasn't really possible until this new computer came along. This thing is fabulous by the way.

Isn't technology wonderful? Now we will able to chat for free and see and hear eachother. We can also catch glimpses of eachothers apartments

Speaking of technology...What do you think of the new iPad? Game changer?

I have to say goodbye to Homer today

He really hasn't been doing well, and is now hunched under the cabinet, barely strong enough to stand. My mum made a 3:00 appointment for us to take him to the vet to be put down. Very very sad, I haven't stopped crying in hours. He was a wonderful pet and will always be the one who awakened my love for animals!
